Mango Wood

Mango trees mature quickly, but when they get too tall to harvest mangoes or stop bearing fruit, they are cut down for timber and a new trees are planted. Harvesting this wood provides extra income to mango farmers, and give furniture manufacturers an affordable material that is easy to work with and can be made to look like oak, maple and teak. Mango wood features colours like browns, pinks, greens, and diverse patterns due to a special fungus that grows in the wood.
